Putting together our Presidents (Infographic in Excel)

In several of my earlier blogs, I demonstrated working with raw data from multiple sources to generate visual and statistical analysis. You can find them in the following posts:

In this blog, I share the combined findings of all those and create infographics that are not just static graphics but with live links to the underlying data. Meaning, as data changes or grows, the visualizations will update with no/little effort without having to be a graphic artist. The interesting part is that these are all generated without needing any other software other than Excel. Even the images are scraped using Excel. After all this done, we can export them as a PDF or to a PowerPoint or publish to a dedicated web page for presentation.

So, what are the some the analytics we can cull from the raw data as detailed in the earlier blogs? I’ll recap some of them and some  are newly created based on the same dataset. I hope you’ll enjoy them as well as find them informative. If you want more details on how they were created, please see the footer of this post.

NOTE: I have another visual for how many presidents were Democrats vs Republicans and some fun-facts about the last 12 presidents (I have them for all 45 but for visuals, they become too cluttered)…however, I’ll update that post 2020 election!
