Happy Friday (the 13th!). Have you ever wondered…?
If you’re anything like me, you’ve at least once wondered: How can I get Excel to show me all the Friday-13ths in any given year? Well, I have (don’t ask me why)…and here’s the solution. I found a couple of ideas on how to do this, but my method I believe, is the most straight-forward […]
About your birthday and more (Excel)
Here’s a basic application in Excel I put together for fun that gives information about a birth date. For example, which day of the week was the person born? What’s the zodiac sign? Another fun game and win vs AI (Chess)
Pay attention to the trade-offs: How the AI cornered me and I eventually tricked it to give up its Queen while it predicted it’d get a new one anyway…which I prevented. Also, the timing of my castling was vital in order to get the upper hand and do the checkmate.

A basic spin-slot game in…Excel??
With Excel’s toolbox of thousands of formulas and VBA support, it’s not out of question to be able to create games although it’s not designed for that purpose. However, not for the sake of playing, rather for experimentation and learning, I decided to present a simple form of a spin game. Game Rules Have 2 […]
