Today, I’m sharing an animated map presentation (created in a map generation tool) showcasing a few Seattle POIs. The project was then exported to a video for embedding here.

The map starts with a bird’s-eye view of USA, locates WA->Seattle, then zooms into mainly some touristy POIs near downtown Seattle. Then it zooms out to show all POIs to give sense of proximity. The coordinates and distances are accurately depicted with actual GPS and terrain data. The POIs included are:
- Pike Place Market
- Great Wheel (the ferris wheel)
- Seattle Aquarium
- Argosy Cruises (for marine/whale watching, and island tours)
- Washington State Ferries Terminal (for taking ferries to nearby islands)
- The Space Needle
- Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP, formerly EMP)
- Chihuly Garden and Glass
