More specifically, let me explain why this casual blog is different from other blogs (casual or not). First, the domain is mine (flyingsalmon.net). Then all the modules and underlying techs and supporting files are hosted on my own site (developed by me with a manual meat-grinder) on the same domain. Finally, the blog platform which does the rest of the magic (WordPress) is hosted on the site…I just duct-taped them together.
By the way, you may be wondering why “Flying Salmon” as domain name? Hint: Visit Pike Place Farmer’s Market when you’re in Seattle…you’ll see them flying and is a signature of the fishing heritage of the market.
